As the senior principal and lead creative director of MOOD | Design + Build, Candy Scott comes to the table with a wealth of knowledge and expertise for your next new construction, remodeling or commercial design project.

She founded the firm in 2014 with over 17 years of experience in both commercial and residential interior design and build,

She graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh NC with a bachelor of science in Interior Design along with an educational background in business administration from North Carolina State University. Her superpower is her intuitive ability to blend highly functional spaces with gorgeous and uniquely personal aesthetics for her clients.

Candy leads herself and her team of designers and contractors to be their best in design and project execution. She believes the basis of a successful project is not just excellence in design but also practical and essential business practices and disciplines. For this reason she works seamlessly with top level executives, high performing professionals, business owners and developers who expect the best in concierge product and service.

DENITSA | PENUSHEVA

As a lifelong fan of both color and drawing, Denitsa graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art with her BFA in Interior Design. As Candy’s lead design assistant her superior organizational skills are a huge value to clients of MOOD. She takes pride in meticulously planning projects and executing them on a timely and orderly basis.

Nature is Denitsa’s biggest inspirationshe is drawn to both lush landscapes and warm colors. Whether she’s drawing in AutoCAD or sourcing furniture and decor, she finds immense joy in the design process.

MOOD Tip: Don’t shy away from bright colors. Even if you wouldn’t typically use a bold palette, you can pair neutrals with a pop of color in pillows or with an accent wallpaper.
